poached eggs in avocado halves

  1. Good idea; I bet they'd taste great together. Must try that this weekend. I just got a double egg poacher for the microwave at a yard sale for 50 cents. No more egg white ghosty-trails!

  3. the "double egg poacher" is not actually poaching the egg, but infact steaming it!

    add a table spoon of vinegar and make sure you turn off the heat just before you slowly submerge the egg. i use those little espresso cups so i can gently slide them in rather then dropping them form any amount of distance. this will eliminate virutally all white ghosty-trails from the end product.
